J'ai commencé la peinture à l'huile au Centre des arts de Dollard et au Club des aînés DDO après une carrière en mathématiques, informatique et ingénierie - d'abord dans le milieu universitaire, puis dans l'industrie. Mon objectif est de créer de belles peintures réalistes, et mon expérience contribue à façonner mon approche de l'art.

Quand j'utilise l'abstraction, c'est comme un "embellissement", en essayant d'améliorer ce que la caméra peut faire.

Je conçois mes peintures à l'aide de dessins, de photographies et de logiciels. C'est parfois un processus itératif vers l'objectif que j'ai en tête.

I began oil painting at the Dollard Centre for the Arts and the DDO Seniors Club after a career in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering - first in academia and then in industry. It is my goal to make beautiful representational paintings, and my background helps shape my approach to art.

When I use abstraction it is as a "beautification", trying to improve on what the camera can do.

I design my paintings using drawings, photographs and software. It is sometimes an iterative process towards the goal I have in mind.
