I am inspired by colour, form, and movement in my images. I value the enjoyment of my viewers and my own fulfillment gained through the artistic process. My inspiration comes from the Old Masters, the Impressionists as well as the intense colours and images of Contemporary artists. My tools include graphite, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, oil and mixed media.

The origins of my artistic interest are in my family’s early encouragement and my more recent renderings are a result of the instruction I have received in classes over the past ten years both in DDO and in the Laurentians. My maternal aunt was a pioneer art teacher at Mount Allison University Ladies College and my mother and her sister attended there early in the 20th century. I love photographing the world around me, appreciating its wonders of light and colour. I intend to continue to paint, draw, study and learn in order to explore and develop further as an artist.

I have been fortunate to be able to show my works in exhibitions in Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec through the DDO Centre for the Arts and the DDO Artists’ Association, since 2010.
